We Sing Rock! On its Way to Nintendo Wii This October

We Sing Rock!, which is a new entry to the popular franchise of singing games, has been confirmed by publisher Nordic Games to release on October 28, 2011 for the Nintendo Wii. The game is said to feature 40 sing-a-long rock numbers including those from artists like Coldplay, Alice Cooper, Kasabian, My Chemical Romance and Elvis.

Most of the tracks in this title will comprise original artist videos. Moreover, each song will have its own rating and would allow gamers to play it in short or full length song modes. The We Sing series of titles is apparently the only singing game franchise to support four players in any Party mode, using four separate microphones. We Sing Rock! will be no different and its Party mode will consist of We Sing, Versus, Group Battle, Pass The Mic, First to X, Marathon as well as Blind and Expert options.

Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games, commented, “The game will make a fantastic addition to the portfolio of We Sing games. We’re giving fans of the We Sing series what they wanted – we’ve gone above and beyond to give them never-before-featured classic rock songs alongside current get-up-on-your-feet headbangers. Anyone who’s ever dreamed of being a rock star can now perform like a rock god to their favorite rock anthems.”

The game’s Solo and Karaoke modes will be aimed at challenging players by completely removing the vocals form the songs. Other options like Singing Lessons and Jukebox too will be made available through this title. Furthermore, this game would also allow players to add extra effects to their performances once they are done singing.

We Sing Rock!, is slated to release for the Nintendo Wii on October 28. It is currently available for pre-order at 24.99 Pounds (approx. Rs. 1,914). A dual mic bundle of the game would also be made available for purchase at 49.99 Pounds (approx. Rs. 3,829).
