Rock Band Library to Welcome 2011 with Johnny Cash’s Classics

Rock Band fans who have been grooving to music churned out by the likes of Billy Joel and Paul McCartney can kick off this year with startling performances on some more hit compositions. This week, Harmonix and MTV Games will unleash an eight song Johnny Cash track pack for gamers around the world. In addition, players can also expand their playlists with the Rock Band Free Pack 01 which makes its way to the library.

Expanding the harmonious horizons of the Rock Band 3 Music Store, the Johnny Cash Pack 01 has been crafted with eight classic tracks including ”˜I Walk the Line’ and ”˜Tennessee Flat Top Box’ which can be upgraded with Pro Guitar/ Pro Bass Expansion pack. As gamers manifest a melodic orchestration along these tunes, they can also strum their guitar to other eight songs bundled into the Rock Band Free Pack 01.

The Rock Band library will soon amplify further with the original master recordings of the following compilations:

Scheduled to release tomorrow on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, the Johnny Cash Pack 01 has been tagged with a price label of 13.49 USD (approx. Rs. 604), 6.69 GBP (approx. Rs. 463) and 9.99 Euro (approx. Rs. 597). Gamers can also procure it by redeeming 1080 MS Points for the Xbox 360 and 1,350 Wii Points on Nintendo’s gaming hardware. Those who wish to lay their hands on singles will have to shell out 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 89), 0.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 68) and 1.49 Euro (approx. Rs. 89), 200 Wii Points or 160 Microsoft Points per song.

PlayStation 3 owners across Europe can obtain both the track packs from January 5, 2011. To upgrade tracks with Pro Guitar/Pro Bass Expansion pack, players will have to pay 0.99 USD (approx. Rs. 44), 0.59 GBP (approx. Rs. 40) and 0.79 Euro (approx. Rs. 47) per song. They can also make the payment via 100 Wii Points or 80 MS Points. The Rock Band Free Pack 01 will be available free-of-cost for download on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems.
