Operation Hastings Unlocks in BF: BC2 Vietnam for PC

Battlefield: Bad Company’s new expansion Vietnam bundled 4 new maps right out of the box when it released last month for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, while putting a communal challenge of 69 million actions on each platform individually for unlocking the fifth map Operation Hastings. According to the game’s official website, this goal of team actions has been successfully achieved by PC gamers and the final map is now open for access.

Operation Hastings PC Unlocked

That is correct, 69 million Spots, Heals, Repairs, Revivals and Resupplies carried out collectively by the PC gaming community on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. The brand new map still seeks about half of 69,000,000 actions on Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles to reveal itself for gamers to explore. These feats range from helping teammates, providing ammo, aiding health or armor for tanks.

The Operation Hastings map is a re-mastered version of the original map in Battlefield Vietnam where players can engage in ferocious battle as a member of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) or as a U.S. Marine. The game is powered by Frostbite engine and will challenge players with four popular game modes, Squad Rush, Conquest, Rush and Squad Deathmatch.

The Xbox 360 version of the game has recorded a total of 39 million team acts, whereas the PS3 iteration lags behind with 29 million collective actions so far. Predicting from the rate of incrementation, it seems that Operation Hastings will be unlocking soon for these two consoles as well.
