Fresh Additions coming to GH5 and Band Hero this Summer

Activision Publishing has announced that all summer long Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero owners will be getting hot new tracks as downloadable content, 18 to be exact. The tracks touching down this June will include those from Stone Temple Pilots, Steve Ouimette, rock legend Alice Cooper, and pop punk group All Time Low with its first downloadable content.

On June 1, 2010 Stone Temple Pilots will bring a track pack of songs taken from their new self-titled album and their platinum debut album, Core. The track pack will feature Between The Lines, Plush, and Sex Type Thing. Steve Ouimette will return to the Guitar Hero stage on June 8, 2010 with a collection of rock-inspired national anthems recorded exclusively for the GH music library. The exclusive National Anthem Track Pack will be free for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and will include the GH version of the tracks God Save the Queen, Il Canto degli Italiani, La Marseillaise, Lied der Deutschen, Marcha Real, and The Star-Spangled Banner.

Alice Cooper has featured before on the GH franchise and will now get the Alice Cooper Track Pack on the Guitar Hero music library on June 15, 2010. The track pack will contain the songs I’m Eighteen, School’s Out, and Welcome To My Nightmare. There will also be a three songs pack from GH debutants All Time Low. The band will bring tracks ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In’, Weightless, and Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t) (Live) in a neat All Time Low Track Pack on June 22, 2010.

Each of the three track packs will be available for the Xbox 360 on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 440 Microsoft Points, for the PS3 on the PlayStation Network for 5.49 USD (approx. Rs. 255) and for the Wii for 550 Wii Points. Individual tracks will be available for 160 MS Points for the Xbox 360, 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 92) for the PS3 and 200 Wii Points.
