First Spanish Language Tracks Introduced into Rock Band with Juanes

The Rock Band franchise has seen a plethora of foot-tapping tracks belted out by various famous artists and bands. Now MTV Games and Harmonix bring to Rock Band Spanish-language tracks with the debut of Latin music superstar Juanes. The Juanes Pack 01 offering will soon be included into the Rock Band Music Store.

“I am thrilled to be the first Spanish-language artist in Rock Band. I’m excited for my fans to connect with the songs right in their living rooms and to bring Latin Music to new fans as well,” stated Juanes.

Juanes sets the Rock Band Music Store ablaze with tracks such as ‘A Dios le Pido’, ‘Gotas de Agua Dulce’ and ‘Mala Gente’. Other finger-snapping songs include ‘FíjateBien’, ‘La Camisa Negra’ and ‘Yerbatero’.

“Harmonix and MTV are proud to have the opportunity to bring this first taste of Spanish-language music to the Rock Band platform,” explains Paul DeGooyer, SVP, Electronic Games and Music, MTV. “We’re delighted to be working with Juanes to help ensure that a whole new group of music fans can discover these incredible songs for themselves, in the most engaging and impactful way possible.”

Juanes is looked upon as a leading all-Spanish language music artist. The talented Colombian rockstar is a songwriter and guitarist while believing in social change through music. He has received many accolades and awards as well as record-setting chart runs with his albums and singles.

Each track is priced at 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 93), .99 GBP (approx. Rs. 71), 1.49 Euros (approx. Rs. 90). The Juanes Pack 01 can be picked up for 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 468), 4.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 360), 7.99 Euros (approx. Rs. 484). Wii owners can enjoy the songs at 200 Wii Points. These offerings can be acquired on July 27, 2010 while PS3 gamers situated across Europe can get their hands on the tracks a day later on July 28, 2010.
