Guitar Hero is Activision’s popular and highly successful music-based video game franchise. Now Activision has announced that Guitar Hero is available for the first time on the iPhone and iPod Touch. This version of the game has been developed by Vicarious Visions and is based on the same easy-to-play, challenging-to-master gameplay mechanics as the console versions.
The new game has been built exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch and features all-new addictive gameplay designed for the platform’s functionality. The game features tracks from artists including Queen, Rise Against, The Rolling Stones, Weezer, Vampire Weekend and The White Stripes.
“With Guitar Hero for the iPhone and iPod Touch, we are once again leveraging our leadership position in the music/rhythm videogame space to deliver an all-new Guitar Hero experience that millions of people around the world can enjoy anytime, anywhere,” David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer for Guitar Hero commented. “From our headliner set list in the base app and forthcoming song packs to the innovative new social integration and guitar shredding gameplay mechanics, Guitar Hero will let players experience and interact with music in all-new ways.”
