R.E.M. and T. Rex to Expand Rock Band Music Store This Week

Before the next installment in the Rock Band franchise arrives onto the gaming scene, Harmonix and MTV Games have offered a glimpse of the music saga in-store. This week, the Rock Band Music Store will release two song packs comprising R.E.M and a T. Rex’s creations. Rock Band 3 will also feature these bands to deliver an enriching music treat for fans across the globe.

Expanding the library of music compilations in the Rock Band Store, R.E.M. and T. Rex will extend the following tracks for Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 players:

    It’s the End of the World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine) – R.E.M.
    Living Well Is the Best Revenge – R.E.M.
    Radio Free Europe – R.E.M.
    Stand – R.E.M.
    Superman – R.E.M.
    These Days – R.E.M.
    What’s the Frequency, Kenneth? – R.E.M.
    Children of the Revolution – T. Rex.
    Cosmic Dancer – T.Rex.
    Jeepster – T. Rex.

All these songs are original master recordings and will hit the Rock Band Music Store starting tomorrow. PS3 players located across Europe can lay their hands on these songs from October 6, 2010. Driver 8, Stand, Superman, These Days, It’s the End of the World As We Know It and Radio Free Europe from the collection of R.E.M. will be included in the Lego Rock Band Music Store. It will also embrace T. Rex’s Children of the Revolution along with Cosmic Dancer.

The T. Rex Pack 01 will be available at the price of 680 MS Points and 5.49 USD (approx. Rs. 243), 2.49 GBP (approx. Rs. 174) or 3.99 Euro (approx. Rs. 243) for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers, respectively. The R.E.M. Pack 01 will be up for grabs with a price tag of 1,080 MS Points or 13.49 USD (approx. Rs. 599), 8.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 630) and 11.88 Euro (approx. Rs. 725). The price for individual songs has been appropriated at 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 88), 0.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 69) and 1.49 Euro (approx. Rs. 90) or 160 Microsoft Points per track. Wii owners can download individual tracks for 200 Wii Points per song.
