Harmonix, MTV Games and distribution partner Electronic Arts have announced that Rock Band 2 will ship to Europe for the Nintendo Wii and will be available there, this October. Rock Band 2 is the sequel to 2007’s Rock Band, and was quite well received by fans and critics alike. The game has already been released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 in Europe.
The game features innovative game modes, including Online World Tour, No-Fail Mode, Battle-Of-The-Band Tournaments, plus a real Drum Trainer. Players can even export their in-game band avatar to the internet as well as order custom Rock Band merchandise upgrades. The game also features an eclectic blend of new and classic artists.
The Rock Band library for the Wii in Europe is set to have more than 250 songs, on disc and for download by early 2010, with new content added every week. Rock Band 2 for the Wii will be available for a recommended retail price of 29.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,285) in the UK.
