DJ Hero is one of three new music based titles set to be released by Activision, the other two being Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero. Now GameSpot is reporting that DJ Hero is set for a late October 2009 release.
The game is said to contain a hundred individual songs in 80 all-new mixes and several artists and DJs including DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Shadow, DJ Yoda, DJ Z-Trip, Grandmaster Flash and Tiesto. The cast will apparently be mixing and creating new tracks from a really huge selection of artists.
The game comes with a revolutionary turntable controller, and there will be a standard edition in addition to a Renegade Edition package. The latter includes a hard-shell turntable carrying case, a “special” turntable controller, and an exclusive two-CD pack with unreleased tracks from Jay-Z and Eminem. The hard-shell carrying case doubles up as a DJ stand.
DJ Hero will hit American store shelves on October 27, 2009 and will most likely come elsewhere on the week of October 27, 2009. The standard edition is expected to retail for about 119.99 USD (approx. Rs. 9,765).
