Rancid and Kings of Leon Packs Coming to Rock Band DLC

After recently announcing that 25 tracks will be added to the Wii Rock Band Music Store, Harmonix and MTV Game have now revealed that they will add three 3-song packs along with a single track to the Rock Band Music Store for PS3 and Xbox 360 this week. Additionally, 2 tracks for PSP’s Rock Band Unplugged will be made available to fans this week.

Making their Rock Band debut would be punk rock band Rancid and indie rock group Kings of Leon. Also featured is the song, Sweetness & Light by British shoegazing band Lush. The three track pack from Rise Against will feature Savior and Re-Education (Through Labor) from their Appeal to Reason album and Prayer of the Refugee from The Sufferer & the Witness album.

The Kings of Leon Pack will contain Sex on Fire and Crawl from their Only by the Night album and Molly’s Chambers from their 2003 Youth and Young Manhood debut album. The Rancid Pack will have Ruby Soho and Time Bomb from the ‘…And Out Come The Wolves’ album and Last One to Die from their latest album Let the Dominoes Fall.

PSP users can look forward to getting their hands on Casey Jones by American rock group The Grateful Dead and The Boys Are Back In Town (Live) from Thin Lizzy when the songs release on the Rock Band Unplugged in-game music store on July 23, 2009. Each of these two tracks will be priced at USD 1.99 (approx. Rs. 95).

The Kings of Leon Pack, Rancid Pack, the Rise Against Pack and Sweetness & Light by Lush will be available as Rock Band Music Store DLC for PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 23, 2009. Each of the 3 packs will cost USD 5.49 (approx. Rs. 265) or 440 Microsoft Points. These tracks will also be available individually for USD 1.99 (approx. Rs. 95) or 160 Microsoft Points.
