How many Rock Band updates have there been already! So many that everybody must have lost count. Well, Harmonix and MTV Games have just announced another. The two companies have made known that this week there will be a six pack from metal icon Alice Cooper arriving on the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The week’s measure also includes a three pack from hard rockers, Taking Back Sunday.
Alice Cooper has enjoyed a rock ‘n roll career that spans more than 40 years as well as some ‘shock rock’ stage performances. This week on the Rock Band Music Store a six pack titled the ‘Alice Cooper Pack 01’ will contain four songs from his 1995 live album Classics including Billion Dollar Babies, I’m Eighteen, School’s Out, and Under My Wheels, which are all live versions. Also included in the Alice Cooper Pack 01 are Poison taken from his 1989 album Trash and one from his latest release, the 2008 Along Came a Spider album, titled Vengeance is Mine. This six-pack signifies Alice Cooper’s Rock Band debut.
Also making their debut this week will be Taking Back Sunday, with the ‘Taking Back Sunday Pack 01’ track pack. Songs included in this pack are Liar, MakeDamnSure and What’s It Feel Like To Be a Ghost? all taken from the band’s 2006 first major label release, Louder Now.
All tracks are original master recordings. The Alice Cooper Pack 01 and the Taking Back Sunday Pack 01 will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 on Tuesday May 19, 2009 and at the PlayStation Store on Thursday May 21, 2009. Prices for the packs or the individual songs in the packs have not been revealed.
