We were all eagerly awaiting the release of Rock Band: The Beatles considering the four mop top kids from Liverpool were among some of the greatest and most widely celebrated people. Now in a twist, Dhani Harrison, son of George Harrison says that Rock Band: The Beatles is to feature absolutely new content by them which “has never been heard, never been released.”
In an interview with Billboard, Dhani Harrison stresses that he took the project to Apple and convinced everyone to have a presentation. “We’ve been working on it for the past two years. This is the first one that is going to be totally, historically accurate. It’s been a real headache, but it’s been the most enjoyable work I’ve done in my life,” he said, speaking about the game.
Rock Band: The Beatles is scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii on September 9, 2009. The standalone software will retail at about 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,085) with the entire bundle of software plus custom guitar, microphone and drums retailing at around 249.99 USD (approx. Rs. 12, 860). Standalone guitars will also be available for 99.99 USD (approx. Rs. 5,145) each and are modeled after the band’s real instruments.
