Wii Rock Band Owners get Exclusive Green Day and back catalog tracks

Wii Rock Band users have been promised downloadable tracks which are already available to PS3 and Xbox 360 owners. And MTV Games and Harmonix have revealed that Wii owners now have access to 28 more tracks including those from Green Day and artists from the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The songs released also include back catalog tracks from bands like Lamb of God, The Offspring, and more.

The Green Day tracks come to Rock Band users through an exclusive deal with Warner Music Group and Green Day. The three tracks are taken from 21st Century Breakdown, the band’s latest album. There are also eight tracks from artists performing at the Mayhem Festival.

In addition to these eleven tracks, seventeen tracks have found their way to the Wii Rock Band Music Store from the back catalog of tracks already available to Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. The list is given below:

    Black Magic – Slayer.
    Conquer All – Behemoth.
    Disposable Teens – Marilyn Manson.

    Hammer Smashed Face – Cannibal Corpse.
    This Is Exile – Whitechapel.
    What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse – Black Dahlia Murder.
    Bandages – Hot Hot Heat.
    Dune Buggy – The Presidents of the USA.
    Feather Pluckn – The Presidents of the USA.
    Gone – Crooked X.
    Ladybug – The Presidents of the USA.
    Laid to Rest – Lamb of God.
    Livin’ at the Corner of Dude Catastrophe – MC Frontalot.
    Love Spreads – The Stone Roses.
    Natural Disaster – Plain White T’s.
    Nearly Lost You – Screaming Trees.
    Push It – Static-X.
    Self Esteem – The Offspring.
    Shhh…. – The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.
    Shoot the Runner – Kasabian.
    Skullcrusher Mountain – Jonathan Coulton.

    You’re No Rock N’ Roll Fun – Sleater-Kinney.

Wii owners can use their Wii Points to download these tracks from the in-game Rock Band 2 Music Store. All the tracks cost 2.00 USD each (approx. Rs. 100) or 200 Wii Points each, except for the Jonathan Coulton, MC Frontalot, The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, and the Crooked X tracks which can be purchased for 1.00 USD each (approx. Rs. 50) or 100 Wii Points each.

With the release of these 28 tracks, there are more than 360 tracks available to Wii owners.
