PAX Three Packs, Jackson 5 among others for Rock Band

Rock Band has always been belting out great tracks from various artists and today is no exception. MTV Games and Harmonix join hands together to bring fans an awesome foot-tapping lineup. There are two three-packs which feature the likes of MC Frontalot, Freezepop, Paul & Storm and Jonathan Coulton. These bands performed at the Penny Arcade Expo which was held over the weekend in Seattle. The songs are unleashed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

Rock Band

Exclusive to the Wii Rock Band Music Store are Rage Against the Machine, The Jam, Oasis and Avenged Sevenfold. Rock Band Unplugged on PSP includes songs from Godsmack and Stone Roses. The Rock Band Music Store features songs which have only previously been available for Rock Band Unplugged.

The following Rock Band DLC tracks are also dubbed The PAX 2009 Collection. The songs that featured this week are ‘Get Ready 2 Rokk’, Less Talk More Rokk’ and ‘Science Genius Girl’ by Freezepop. ‘Re: Your Brains’ and ‘Origin of Species’ by Jonathan Coulton and MC Frontalot respectively. Along with ‘Opening Band’ by Paul & Storm, the above mentioned tracks costs per track $0.99 USD (approx. Rs.48), £0.59 UK (approx. Rs.47), €0.79 EU (approx. Rs.55) or 80 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 and $1.00 (approx. Rs.49) or 100 Wii Points per track.

Besides these, the DLC also consists of Jackson 5 – ‘ABC’, AFI – ‘Miss Murder’, Audioslave – ‘Gasoline’ and 3 Doors Down – ‘Kryptonite’. These songs are priced at $1.99 USD (approx. Rs.97), £.99 UK (approx. Rs.80), €1.49 EU (approx. Rs.104) or 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 per track. Freezepop Pack 01 and The PAX 2009 Collection are available for $2.99 USD (approx. Rs.145), £1.69 UK (approx. Rs.134), €2.29 EU (approx. Rs.160) or 240 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360. Each track costs $2.00 USD (approx. Rs.97) or 200 Wii Points. The songs can be accessed on the Xbox 360 and Wii tomorrow and on September 10 for the PS3.

Talking Heads belts out five new songs for the Wii. These include ‘Take Me to the River’ from their second album called More Songs About Buildings and Food. From their fourth studio album named Remain in Light comes the songs ‘Once in a Lifetime’ and Crosseyed & Painless. ‘Girlfriend is Better’ and ‘And She Was’ are featured in their fifth and sixth albums called Speaking in Tongues and Little Creatures respectively.

The Jam comes in with two songs namely ‘A Town Called Malice’ and ‘Going Underground’. Avenged Sevenfold and Rage Against the Machines enter with ‘Bat Country’ and ‘Guerilla Radio’ respectively. The famous band Oasis amuses fans with their live version of ‘Supersonic’. These tracks can be acquired for $2.00 USD or 200 Wii Points per track. With the inclusion of these tracks, the Wii Rock Band Music Store now boasts of 667 downloadable songs.

Rock Band Unplugged features the likes of Godsmack and Stone Roses with their tracks ‘I Stand Alone’ and ‘Love Spreads’ respectively. These two songs take the total number of tracks to 39 in the Unplaugged Store. The tracks can be acquired from September 10 for $1.99, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU per track.
