Rock Band gets Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble’s Texas Flood album

How many times in the recent past have we seen content being added to the Rock Band Music Store catalog? Well, yet again Harmonix and MTV Games have announced more varied content to the catalog. In fact, this content includes songs from the late great electric blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble. In addition, the weekly added content includes one track from artists ‘No Doubt’.

Stevie Ray Vaughn shot to fame with the 1983 album ‘Texas Flood’. The Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble album sold more than 500,000 units and broke into the top 40 of the Billboard 200 charts. All the 10 songs from the album are available to Rock Band fans, who can download individual tracks or the entire album. Also in the week’s update, is the track ‘New’ by out-of-the-box rockers No Doubt taken from their 2000 album, Return of Saturn. Previously No Doubt was represented on Rock Band in December 2008 by their album ‘The Singles 1992-2003’.

The update includes Dirty Pool, I’m Cryin, Lenny, Love Struck Baby, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Pride and Joy, Rude Mood, Tell Me, Testify and Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble and New by No Doubt. These will be available at the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 on March 3, 2009 and at the PlayStation Store on March 5, 2009. Individually, each track will cost 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 105) or 160 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 and Rock Band fans can even purchase the entire Texas Flood album for 15.99 USD (approx. Rs. 830) or 1280 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360.
