Every Monday 9am Pacific Time like clockwork, Nintendo releases its Wii-kly Update on its Wii Shop Channel. This week in the update Nintendo has added one Wii-Ware game and one classic Virtual Console game to its Wii Shop Channel. The Wii-Ware game can be played by the entire family whereas the VC game comes hard and fast and is a classic strategy title.
In the WiiWare section, the game Family & Friends Party has been released and is fun for the whole family. This interactive board game allows up to 8 people to play and demands that certain challenges be completed by one or two players from the same team while players from opposing teams sit it out. The game also allows for ‘Versus’ mode wherein all teams compete at the same time. Family & Friends Party is developed by Gammick Entertainment and can be purchased by redeeming 1,000 of your Wii Points. Previously for the Wii was a similar wholesome family game World Sports Party.
On the Virtual Console front, we have Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen where players must fell the Zetegnian Empire that rules the Kingdoms of Zenobia. As leader of a group of rebels fighting for honor, players must handle the unpredictable events among the rebel army. Magical items, scores of characters, weapons and strange Tarot cards can be used along the way to salvation of the entire population. Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen was originally released for Super NES, is for only one player and can be purchased for 800 Wii Points.
