SimCity Societies was one of the highly anticipated games of last year but it wasn’t received well by the game critics. But now Electronic Arts (EA) hopes to better the experience of the gamers as they have announced the first city pack add-on, SimCity Societies Destinations.
Rod Humble is the head of The Sims Studio. He comments, “SimCity Societies Destinations is the perfect game to let your imagination go on vacation, while at the same time provides deeper, challenges for the player. Whether you want to forge a mini republic or build a spiritual retreat, you’ll have all the tools to make your destination admired by citizens far and wide.”
SimCity Societies Destinations will let gamers create the perfect vacation spot. They will have to manage their destinations with an eye towards lucrative detail as well as attract and host Sims travelers from around the world. The add-on promises to improve the the SimCity Societies experience as it offers all the tools needed to create a complete city or town based on attractions and amenities, which visitors enjoy.
SimCity Societies Destinations will feature an improved map generator. Gamers will be able to make out each city’s opportunity for entertainment and the city can then take advantage of that draw. Gamers will be able to control more than hundred new buildings like tropical beach resorts, theme parks and even country hiking trails.
SimCity Societies Destinations, which will require SimCity Societies to play, is expected to release for the PC in May 2008. The add-on will be available across Europe and North America. The screenshots of SimCity Societies surely look crisp and gamers who had faith in the SimCity franchise will surely be looking forward to get the pack.
