Google’s Orkut seems to be fast losing its sheen and that is probably what has prompted it to transpire a new social networking service. Now the stiff challenge posed by Facebook cannot be ignored and Google has to come up with something to stay at par with its rival. A recent report by Engadget suggest that, ‘atleast two’ new game services may be available on Google+.
Currently, the website which is in its trial period doesn’t feature any games. But a look at one of its source codes, which goes, ‘have sent you Game invites and more from Google+ Games,’ indicates that Facebook style games might just be on the offing for users. The first infer is Google Games which recently announced job postings for a games product manager.
Another source code which has got people speaking reads, ‘you might try rephrasing or tagging your question to make it easier for someone to answer.’ This coupled with Google’s acquisition of Aardvark points out that at a question-and-answer component to compete with Quora is probably on its way to the website.
These reports have certainly fueled lots of rumors but we would have to wait and watch to see if games really make their way into Google+.
