Cyberpunk 2077’s Next-Gen Patch Now Live For PS5 And Xbox Series X/S

Cyberpunk 2077

Patch 1.5 is what you’ve been waiting for if you’ve skipped playing Cyberpunk 2077 due to the enormous issues that had left the game broken on next-gen consoles. This update can be downloaded now on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

More than the fact that they add next-gen features like ray tracing to Cyberpunk 2077, what’s important to note is that patch 1.5 brings with it improvements to gameplay to enhance the game’s overall experience. Among them is improved NPC behavior that makes them more effective in combat.

Improved NPC animations have also made their way into the game, apart from revamped perk trees. All bikes now come with glowing wheels that you can activate, and suspensions now look more realistic. Bikes even have the ability to do burnouts, moreover.

Plenty of other such changes that improve the game are part of the 1.5 patch for Cyberpunk 2077. Coming to the next-gen improvements, you of course get ray tracing support, 4K resolution with dynamic scaling, faster loading times, and more.

On the PS5, there’s support for adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and even the speakers on the DualSense controller. On both consoles, you will get performance modes (4k at 60fps) and ray tracing modes (4k at 30fps). The performance mode on the Xbox Series S will only offer 1440p at 30fps though.

This new Cyberpunk 2077 patch is sized at around 50GB for each platform. While the Xbox Series X/S will download it swiftly, on the PS5, you will need to download it as a completely new game. So head to the PS Store and manually select the new PS5 version to start downloading it.

The PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 also gets a few updates. These include a benchmark mode and a new walking toggle when playing with a keyboard. Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) are also present.
