For RPG fans, Mass Effect 2 is unanimously one of the best titles of all time. And if you’re still to catch up on it, there’s good news for you as the game is being offered for free by EA on PC. It can be grabbed via Origin by means of its ”˜On the House’ promotion.
The duration for which Mass Effect 2 will remain free has not yet been stated by EA, but we’re guessing things will remain the same till the end of the month. Anyway, it doesn’t take much time to add it to your library if you don’t want to download it right away.
This title is also special right now, as events portrayed in it are important to understand the premise of the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda, which was just granted a release date by the way. It will arrive for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on March 21 this year.
As its name suggests, the newest entry takes place in the Andromeda galaxy rather than the Milky Way. Developed by BioWare, it will follow the same gameplay standard set by the previous games, which involves role-playing elements and a strong third-person shooter model for combat.
This fourth game in the extremely popular series is being built using the Frostbite 3 engine. Its latest trailer gives us a good look at its gameplay, and throws some light on how its class and loadout systems work.
