Mass Effect Andromeda release date set for this March

Mass Effect Andromeda

There’s great news in store for fans who are eagerly awaiting Mass Effect Andromeda. The release date of the hotly anticipated game has been reavealed to be March 21, which is not far away from now. This action role-playing offering from BioWare is slated to arrive for the PS4, the Xbox One as well as PC on the said date.

While 21 March is the North American release date, 23 March will be when the game will arrive in Europe. Apart from this information, we also have fresh gameplay footage from Mass Effect Andromeda, which was shown at CES yesterday.

The Normandy spacecraft from the previous three games has been replaced by Tempest, and this trailer is a good chance to have a long look at it. It also showcases the combat customization options from the game. We are shown the character Ryder in battle, and given a look at how the skills loadout can be customized.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has apparently been under development for more than 5 years. Following the main trilogy, the developers decided to move the action over the Andromeda galaxy. This title will of course follow the same gameplay formula which combines role-playing elements with third-person shooter action. It is being built using the Frostbite 3 engine, and will be published by EA.

Like we said, March 21 is the date on which Mass Effect Andromeda will be released for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC. It can be pre-ordered now through all major retailers.
