Fallout 4 may well be launched this year for PS4, Xbox One and PC

All hell broke loose the day on which the existence Fallout 4 was finally acknowledged by Bethesda by releasing a beautiful teaser trailer. While it was confirmed by the company that it will be hitting the PS4, the Xbox One and PC, it failed to reveal an official release date for it.

This disappointed fans quite a bit, but there are now several hints that are pointing out that the game may well be released this year itself. Such big offerings are usually showcased a year or two prior to their actual launches, but that seemingly is not the case with Fallout 4.

Online retailers from around the world, including Amazon, GameStop, GreenManGaming and GAME are quoting 2015 to be the arrival year of this game. But that’s not all; according to Eurogamer, Bethesda’s very own website had the words ‘TBA – 2015’ sitting alongside the title’s listing, before they were changed to ‘TBA.’

We guess an official confirmation on the release date can be expected at this year’s E3 which is only a few days away from now. If it’s indeed granted a 2015 launch date, it has quite some competition to counter, with offerings like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Need for Speed and Star Wars: Battlefront, all lined up for release later this year.

As its name suggests, Fallout 4 is the fourth main entry to the series which has also seen a few spin-offs thrown the way of fans. It will be an action-RPG title that will feature a heavy emphasis on combat, and will of course take place in a post-apocalyptic environment.

We’ll have more on Fallout 4 when additional details about it are out in the open.
