Half-Life 3, Beyond Good and Evil 2 and other unrevealed games stand in the same league as Fallout 4, for their makers choose to keep their mouths absolutely shut when asked anything about them. At such times, rumors and leaks are the only source of information – though seldom reliable – for fans. One such leak has just been brought to our notice by The Vault, and it’s regarding none other than Fallout 4.
A trademark for the said game appears to have been filed in Europe, indicating that a reveal of it is just around the corner. November 14 was the date on which a trademark for Fallout 4 was filed on the website of OHIM, the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market. If you crank up your memories, you’ll remember that the OHIM has been a source of gaming-related leaks in the past as well.
Speculation is rife at the moment that a reveal trailer for the game might be presented at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards which have been renamed VGX. The show is supposed to take place on December 7, and will honor the best games released during the year 2013. Bethesda has a history of revealing its trailers at the said event, giving more fire to the speculations.
The Fallout series of role-playing games had received its first entry back in 1997, grabbing a lot of attention thanks to its unique gameplay. Then in the following year, Fallout 2 was released and a sequel to that came out in 2008, with two spin-offs having been dished out during the long waiting period. Fallout: New Vegas is another spin-off to the series which was launched in 2010, and gained considerable acclaim.
But since then, nothing about a further installment has been mentioned till date. Here’s hoping that all these leaks and rumors regarding Fallout 4 turn out to be true.
