That a Fallout 4 announcement is on the cards in the near future is being speculated with much excitement right now. The whole thing started when a voice actor from the previous the main game, tweeted that his fans might be able to see more of his character, while saying that he has his fingers crossed for the same. This and a few subsequent tweets of his have sent tongues wagging about the next title in the series, which has been shrouded in secrecy, if at all it exists.
Gamers have been demanding Fallout 4 for quite some time now, and it’s been high-time that Bethesda hasn’t responded with any such announcement. The tweet that started it all belongs to Erik Todd Dellums, who is most commonly known as the actor who had played the role of the Galaxy News Radio DJ named Three Dog in the third iteration of the series. His exact words were, ”˜To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!’
But that’s not all; in another tweet of his he has mentioned that he has received official permission from Bethesda to release the tease. This has gone on to force many to speculate that the company itself won’t be staying mum about the title for long. Looking at it from another angle altogether will also make one realize that Dellums may be talking about the long-rumored movie based on the franchise.
Originally created by Interplay Entertainment, this series of post-apocalyptic action RPGs has come a long way since its debut in 1997. Its second iteration came in 1998, and only went to strengthen the franchise’s place as one of the best in the industry. This was followed by two spin-offs – one in 2001 and the other in 2004 – which too were well received. And then, in 2008 came the third main entry to the series which managed to garner immense acclaim from gamers and critics alike. Another spin-off called, New Vegas was launched in 2010, but since then, no official word about any subsequent title has been heard from Bethesda.
Although speculations are indeed pointing towards an imminent Fallout 4 announcement slated to happen soon, we cannot be entirely sure about it. We’ll keep bringing you more information as and when we receive it.
