While PS3 gamers wait the long wait of Dawnguard releasing for the console, Xbox 360 owners can already stop looking forward to one more Skyrim DLC titled Hearthfire. This small add-on will enable players to build their own houses from scratch, and then encourage them to maintain their dwellings as well their families.
Designing, building and preserving homes are the three aspects that players can indulge in with the new DLC. They would first need to purchase a plot of land anywhere in Skyrim. A new drafting table and a carpenter’s work bench will make their way into the Hearthfire add-on for gamers to be able to turn raw materials into houses. Simple rooms like kitchens and libraries, as well as other structures such as alchemy labs and greenhouses will be available to be built. The last DLC for this game came in the form of Dawnguard which was first released for the Xbox 360 in June, while its PC launch came in August. There is definitely some ambiguity surrounding the PS3 version, as the folks over at Bethesda still refrain from offering concrete information related to the DLC’s release on the said platform.
Meanwhile, the Hearthfire add-on for Skyrim will be coming out via Xbox Live on September 4, 2012 with its price tagged at 400 Microsoft Points. No details about other platforms yet.
