Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls hitting Consoles on October 24

The Artorias of the Abyss content which was included exclusively in the Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition for PC will now be seen arriving for consoles as a DLC through PSN and Xbox Live. It will be released in Europe and Australasia on October 24, and is expected to come out in North America on October 23, 2012, although the latter date is surrounded with some uncertainty. A bundled version complete with the game, some added features as well as this DLC was launched for PC last month, and is slated to be released for consoles later this year.

Dark Souls

Said to take gamers right into the depths of hell, this new content will be filled with torturous dungeons, dangerous boss battles and other challenging gameplay scenarios, echoing of the difficult nature of the original game. Moreover, it will also contain an augmented online PVP mode that will enable gamers to battle against one another for fights till death. Artorias of the Abyss will kick in new maps, environments, boss characters, enemies, NPCs, weapons and armor.

This game was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 with its much loved intense dungeon crawling experiences and intricate enemy encounters in October last year. And it was only in August this year that a PC version came out with the Artorias of the Abyss content bundled with it. Console gamers who own the game can go for the DLC, whereas those who are yet to experience it also have the option of purchasing the title with the new content later this year.

The Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls will be released via PSN and Xbox Live on October 24 in Europe and Australasia. It is expected to be priced at 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 800) and 1200 Microsoft Points on the respective platforms.
