Kalypso Media recently announced the North American release of Jagged Alliance: Back in Action which can be purchased now for PC through retail outlets. This game’s downloadable version is already available on Steam since February 9, 2012.

Taking place in a fictitious country of Arulco, the title revolves around the evil deeds of a ruthless dictator who has assumed power without much resistance. Players will be required to free the nation from the dictator’s iron grip by controlling rebel as well as mercenary forces. They would also be tasked with managing the supply of tactical and economic tools to keep their troops geared up for battles.
The ”˜plan & go’ combat system that makes its way into this offering is said to combine RTS and turn-based elements to render an engrossing gameplay experience. Eventually, this compels players to master their strategy and tactical skills, while also augmenting their team’s capabilities through RPG-like character advancements. Available only for PC, this title supposedly comes equipped with realistic battlefield settings and authentic firearms.

It kicks in various individual mercenaries, who have their own personalities and can be controlled simultaneously using a strategic map. Moreover, the characters from this offering also interact with each other and comment on game events. In order to earn resources for funding their battles, players will be provided with various mines and encampments that can be excavated.
Jagged Alliance: Back in Action is now available for PC in North America at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,975). A Steam version can also be downloaded by gamers currently.
