With the release of Mass Effect 3, EA has announced the launch of the final chapter in its spectacular sci-fi franchise. Having launched for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, this game even has an iOS exclusive app named Mass Effect Infiltrator going along with it.
Deep and interactive storytelling as well as adrenaline-pumping action will apparently be on offer with this new title which also includes a four-player co-op campaign aside from its single-player offerings. The story of Mass Effect 3 involves an all out galactic war which has manifested due to an ancient alien race known as the Reapers. In order save mankind from the Reaper threat, gamers will be required to assume the role of Commander Shepard, the protagonist who also featured in the first two games.
Ray Muzyka, Co-Founder of BioWare and General Manager of EA’s BioWare Label, explained, “Mass Effect 3 is the beginning, middle and end of an entire war to save the galaxy – and the team has held nothing back. Also releasing along with the title is its From Ashes DLC which includes additional single-player content. From Ashes has Commander Shepard finding out about an ancient Prothean artifact which could change the way the war is fought. This DLC will be doled for free to all those who purchased the game’s N7 Collector’s Edition and its Digital Deluxe Edition. Others can buy the content online at a price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 505) or 800 Microsoft Points.
Mass Effect 3 can be purchase currently at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,025).
