Mass Effect 3 Getting Free Resurgence Pack DLC This Month

The co-op multiplayer section of Mass Effect 3 will be greeted with a new batch of content next week, even as the free Resurgence Pack DLC is slated to launch through PSN, Xbox Live and Origin. This news comes just a day after BioWare announced the Extended Cut DLC which will look to provide more clarity on the game’s much debated ending.

The Resurgence Pack will contain two new maps for the title’s co-op multiplayer. The first one is dubbed Firebase Condor, and will take place on a war-zone outpost on one of Palaven’s moons. The second map, Firebase Hydra, will be set in an old abandoned quarian colony. Moreover, a total of six unlockable characters will also form part of this free DLC.

The Batarian and Geth races will now be playable in the multiplayer section, with Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltrator being released through this add-on. Furthermore, new characters like Asari Justicar Adept and Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard also make their way into the existing classes.

And then there are also some fresh consumables to be procured by games. Strength Enhancer, Targeting VI, Stabilization Module and Shield Power Cells are the new abilities which form part of the add-on.

The free Resurgence Pack DLC for Mass Effect 3 will be made available for download through PSN, Xbox Live and the Origin client software on April 10. PSN users in Europe will be able to procure this content a day later, on April 11, 2012.
