Eidos Montreal’s much successful 2011 first-person role-playing game, will soon go to Mac in the form of Deus Ex Human Revolution – Ultimate Edition which will be launched on April 26. Like most other Mac ports, this game too will be published by Feral Interactive and will comprise additional content that was not part of the original release.
The Ultimate Edition is said to be the complete version of the title, as it will kick in the Explosive Mission and Tactical Enhancement packs as well as The Missing Link DLC. The minimum system requirements for the title include a 2.0GHz Intel Mac with at least 4GB RAM and a 256MB or higher graphics card. Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later will be compatible, while graphics cards such as ATI X1xxx series, ATI HD2xxx series, NVIDIA 9400, NVIDIA 7xxx series, NVIDIA 320M, Intel HD3000 and Intel GMA series will not be supported.
The game which had also featured on our recent list of the best action RPGs, lets players assume the role of Adam Jensen who has undergone extensive cybernetic augmentation following a terrorist attack on his company. In order to find those responsible for the disaster, gamers will need to explore the full potential of Adam’s augmented body and develop it to suit their playing style. At each point during the game, four different pillars of gameplay, namely combat, stealth, hacking and social will be available to choose from.
The Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Ultimate Edition will made available as a digital download through the Mac App Store and other services from April 26 onwards. In North America, it will retail at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,555), while in the UK, it will be priced at 34.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,835).
