Voltron: Defender of the Universe Arrives on PSN, Xbox Live

Voltron: Defender of the Universe has been released by THQ on PSN and Xbox Live. Back in the 80s, Voltron was a popular anime series which involved individual lions combining their forces to form a giant super robot. The game is based on ‘some of the most defining moments from the classic series.’

Peter Armstrong, executive producer, revealed, “We really wanted to create a game that’s exciting, true to the original series and challenging to play. All of us here are big fans of classic Voltron, and we’re really proud of what we have created.”

Users can either introduce a new generation of young Space Explorers or command an individual lion. They can even combine these vehicles and fight as Voltron and wield his blazing sword.

Game modes include 1 to 5 player co-op online matches or 1 or 2 player co-op offline matchs where gamers get to play as Galactic peacekeepers. They will select a lion depending on a number of strengths, resistances and elemental attacks which they use while fighting against enemies.
