Gamers waiting for a new game in the Ace Combat series can lock their crosshairs on the limited editions of Ace Combat Assault Horizon. The Ace Combat Assault Horizon European Pre-order Limited Edition will give gamers a chance to fly the F-4E Phantom II and more such exclusives for the same price as the standard retail edition. The limited edition will be available with participating European retailers untill stocks last.
The folded-box will contain the game DVD along with the game’s original soundtrack on CD. Also included is a notebook which has signatures of the development team at Project Aces and a card to download the F-4E Phantom II aircraft.
Developers claim the game to bring ‘a new intensity to the franchise’ with scenarios like tearing aircrafts apart and spewing oil and debris mid-sky. Single as well as online multiplayer modes which will be fought over real world locations are available within the game. East Africa, Middle East, Miami, Florida, and United Arab Emirates are some of the places included in this title.
The story mode of the game takes place in 2015 when a NATO led 108th Task Force is on a task to stop anti-government insurgency throughout the African continent. A Russian Ace pilot named Colonel Andrei “Akula” Markov is aiding the insurgents with a new superweapon dubbed the “Trinity” which further intensifies the war.
The game is slated to release on October 14, 2011 while the Ace Combat Assault Horizon European Pre-order Limited Edition is currently available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 at select European retailers. The title costs 39.99 Pounds (approx Rs. 2,867) for both platforms.
