The game has players taking on the role of a Grey Warden Commander who has been given the responsibility of rebuilding the order of Grey Wardens and discovering how the darkspawn survive after the slaying of the Archdemon. Players are required to make moral choices that affect the shape of their path as they devise means of rebuilding the order and dealing with the darkspawn. Gamers can opt to play as a new Grey Warden from the neighboring land of Orlais or import their character from Dragon Age: Origins.

“Dragon Age: Origins introduced us to a robust, mysterious, and tumultuous fantasy world. Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening brings players deeper into the folds to face even more complex moral decisions as the leader of the Grey Wardens and the results of those responsibilities and actions,” elaborated Aaryn Flynn, Studio General Manager of BioWare in Edmonton.

The Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening expansion pack takes gamers to an entirely new dark and perilous world called Amaranthine where creatures such as the Inferno Golem, a spectral dragon and an evolved, intelligent breed of darkspawn confront players. There are new customization tools that allow players to tailor their protagonist and party apart from tweaking character abilities. This game which picks up from where the original Dragon Age: Origins ended, has been given an ‘M’ rating by the ESRB, ‘18’ by BBFC and ‘18+’ by PEGI.

Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening expansion pack is tagged at $39.99 (approx. Rs.1,820). It is currently available across the U.S. at retailers as also on the PSN and Xbox Live. The game is scheduled to be released today across Europe for Xbox and PC at retailers, on the PSN as well as Xbox Live.
