Earlier this month, a rumor was doing its rounds about the Dragon Age Expansion making its way into the gaming arena this March. Well, we now have confirmation that BioWare is indeed revealing the first official expansion pack dubbed as Dragon Age: Origins ”“ Awakening for the acclaimed RPG title. The expansion offering will release for the game in March.
The Awakening expansion pack is fashioned and penned down by the very same team that was involved with Dragon Age: Origins. The team brings to fans a brand new location called Amaranthine where they are plunged right in an epic story which deals with secrets and true motivations of the darkspawn. Players will have to defend themselves against the likes of horrid creatures like the evolved breed of darkspawn, Spectral Dragon and Inferno Golem.

The latest expansion pack provides players with new innovative ways to customize their characters and party like re-spec their different character attributes. The offering also comprises of increased level cap, new spells, abilities, items and specializations. There is also five all-new party members which gives gamers the ability to either continue their quest from Dragon Age or commence with a whole new party.
Dragon Age: Origins ”“ Awakening picks off right where the events in the game concluded. Gamers must take on the role of a Grey Warden Commander from the neighboring land of Orlais who is in charge of resurrecting the order of Grey Wardens. While on their new quest, gamers also have to unravel the mystery behind the survival of the darkspawn even after the Archdemon dragon was killed. The players’ decisions and moral choices on various incidents in the new offering will ultimately determine their own heroic journey.
Dragon Age: Origins ”“ Awakening is set to unleash on March 16 2010 all over the globe for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The first expansion pack will be priced at $39.99 (approx. Rs.1,832) and requires the Dragon Age: Origins game to play.
