Dragon Age Expansion ‘Awakening’ coming in March?

Towards the end of the last calendar year there was a healthy share of video game rumours. And into the New Year, the rumours have not let up. BigDownload is reporting that according to Czech web site Eurogamer.cz, EA’s Dragon Age: Origins will be getting a full packaged expansion sometime in March this year.

Dragon Age: Origins Awakening Coming?

According to the web site, the expansion is titled ‘The Awakening’ and will be made available on March 19, 2010 for the PC. The expansion will apparently carry a suggested retail price of about two-thirds of the price of the original game, which comes to about 30 or 40 USD.

The report also says that the expansion takes off where the game ends, and gives players the option to play as a completely new main character with his own story. The expansion is expected to add about 15 hours or so of gameplay. The report also suggests that the expansion will increase the level cap and could be officially announced by EA in early January.

This information seems awfully detailed for a rumour, and hence raises the doubt that there could be a whole lot of truth to it. We’ll keep you up to date with developments on this one.
