Square Enix has announced that Star Ocean The Last Hope: International has shipped for the PS3 in North America. The game is developed by Tri-Ace and provides a prequel experience of the Star Ocean franchise to PS3 users. Earlier we reported that the company had revealed the title exclusively for the PS3 console.
The game allows players to control their own spacecraft so that they can travel from planet to planet exploring the vastness of space. Star Ocean The Last Hope: International features dynamic four-character team combat as well as the ability to switch between party members during battle. The game also improves on the innovative real-time battle system, which has been characteristic of the Star Ocean franchise.
The PS3 version comes in six languages, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese, and is set in the aftermath of World War III in the year 2087 AD. Star Ocean The Last Hope: International is available at North American retailers for the PS3 for a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,785).
