Square Enix has announced that it will be publishing Star Ocean The Last Hope: International for the Sony’s PlayStation 3 console. The game is the international version of The Last Hope and will be released exclusively for the PS3.
Star Ocean The Last Hope: International will give PS3 owners a chance to explore the science fiction world in the prequel to the Star Ocean series. The PS3 version will feature English and Japanese voice options plus six language option including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.
The game has great visuals and delivers a unique RPG experience. Players can control their own spaceship, as they planet hop to explore the void that space seems to be. Dynamic four-person team-oriented combat is part of the gameplay in which players can seamlessly switch between characters while in battle.
Edge Maverick and his good friend Reimi Saionji are chosen to seek out “worlds beyond the stars”. Their ship and four other ships are the last hope for an Earth that has been ravaged over time. The game combines fantasy and sci-fi elements and gives players the chance to pilot the Calnus spaceship for the first time in the series. Item creation and Private Actions, two of the series’ hallmarks, make a return and players can enjoy upgraded versions of both systems. A new Blindside battle system merges offense and evasion which makes for the perfect moves when confusing and ambushing enemies.
Star Ocean The Last Hope: International is scheduled to ship simultaneously around the globe and it will be available on February 9, 2010 in North America, for a suggested retail price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,885).
