Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners sailed on a new adventure this July as EA and Hothead Games released DeathSpank. The two companies have now announced to deliver the hilarious action RPG for Windows PC and Mac. The ”˜Hero to the Downtrodden’ will arrive on these platforms for rolling out an exciting escapade filled with action and wit.
“Bringing the game to PC and Mac was a direct response to the repeated requests by our fans and we are thrilled that DeathSpank has become so popular and such a phenomenon, ensuring that we can fulfill those requests,” remarked Vlad Ceraldi, Director of Game Development at Hothead Games. “The humor, story and core gameplay elements in DeathSpank were all inspired by some of our favorite PC games.”
The game will set players out on a lifelong journey to discover a baffling object dubbed ”˜The Artifact.’ On this quest, gamers can help orphans, crush enemies and unravel numerous mysteries. They will also have to solve puzzles while gathering large amounts of loot and engaging in humorous interactions. Besides, the title allows them to immerse in local co-op gameplay which enables friends to step into the boots of Sparkles the Wizard.
Starting October 26, 2010, PC gamers can download DeathSpank for 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 666). They can pre-order the game from steam to receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase. In addition, players can also place their orders in advance for the Shank and ”˜Spank Bundle on Steam. This package will facilitate gamers to lay their hands on DeathSpank as well as Shank while extending a 15 percent discount on the entire bundle. The company has disclosed that the availability and pricing details of the title’s Mac OSX version will be revealed on a later date.
