In March this year we reported that EA and Hothead Games had collaborated to produce an action-based RPG titled DeathSpank. Now, we are back with some more news from the house of EA. Well, all those who have been waiting to enter the world of this epic narrative to experience its engrossing gameplay while destroying evil chickens can now download the game as it has been released on the PSN and Xbox Live.
Designed by Ron Gilbert, the game allows players to don the role of the titular hero who hacks and cleaves his way with vibrant and distinct characters. Dubbed as the ”˜Dispenser of Justice’, ”˜Vanquisher of Evil’ and ”˜Hero to the Downtrodden’, players will transform into a superhero on a life long expedition to find a mysterious artifact called simply ”˜The Artifact’. Endowed with a funny bone, the lead character in this title will liberate orphans, fight with local enemies, lend a helping hand to aging adventurer and unravel dark mysteries.

It’s very easy to pick up and play, both in terms of its classic arcade controls, as well as the convenience of downloading it straight to your console.”
To advance in the RPG, players will have to solve crazy puzzles and garner enormous plunder all while hearing witty dialogues. This comic experience can be enjoyed with friends too. Featuring local co-operative gameplay, players can jump in and out of gameplay on the same console as DeathSpank and Sparkles the Wizard. This magical sidekick will follow our superhero throughout his journey.

DeathSpank is already available for download and gamers can purchase the game from the PlayStation Network for 9.99 GBP and from the Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points.
