Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the role playing game for consoles which was released by Square Enix in North America on February 24, 2009. A while back, the company had said that the game would be coming to the PAL regions in the spring of 2009 and then set a June 5, 2009 release date for the game. Now Square Enix announces that the Limited Collector’s Edition of the game for the Xbox 360 will also be hitting the PAL territories at the same time.
President and CEO of Square Enix, John Yamamoto said, “We are delighted to bringing this exciting new chapter of the critically acclaimed Star Ocean series to Europe and PAL territories. Star Ocean: The Last Hope is a stunning and captivating adventure and the Collector’s Edition will be sure to please fans eagerly awaiting the release.”
The Collector’s Edition of Star Ocean: The Last Hope will contain a Star Ocean: The Last Hope Box in a special collector’s sleeve, the game soundtrack compilation CD, five rare and collectible Star Ocean: The Last Hope Character Cards and a 32 page Brady Games official mini-guide which is printed in full-color and includes walkthrough information and character art. The Collector’s Edition will also include three game discs and a play manual in full-color.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope is a fantasy RPG and brings the series to the Xbox 360 for the first time. The game features the real-time battle system which is characteristic of the Star Ocean series. Among the PAL regions, the Star Ocean: The Last Hope Limited Collector’s Edition will only be available in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and the UK. Prices have not been revealed, but the collector’s edition is scheduled to be released on June 5, 2009 in these PAL territories.
