Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Release Postponed To Spring 2009

Earlier this month, we had mentioned about the release of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 in North America. But an announcement by Square Enix now confirms that fans of the popular action RPG will have to wait a little longer. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 will not release in Japan until spring of 2009.

For those of you not too upfront, the gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 is based on the experiences of Roxas within Organization XIII. The game takes place between the revamped Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II.

Square Enix has also announced new game details of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 at the Jump Fest 2009. The publisher reveals:

The multiplayer demo comprises of Demyx and Luxord in their playable form.

Luxord: scatters cards around as an attack, high magic stats but low mobility, low jump.

The Heartless have an attack that freezes you from attacking back for a moment.

Roxas, Axel, Xion, Riku and Mickey were also displayed in the new illustration.

There’s no exact release date of the Kingdom Hearts for North America. Though Square Enix was earlier supposed to launch the game around February 2009 in Japan, the publisher should now launch Kingdom Hearts 358/2 in spring 2009.
