Earlier this year, there were speculations that a new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game would be released soon. But Electronic Arts came out and said that a new KOTOR game is not being developed. Now John Riccitiello has revealed about a Knights of the Old Republic MMO.
John Riccitiello is the CEO of EA. He spoke to Conde Nast Portfolio magazine and told them, “We have got two of the most compelling MMOs in the industry in development. The first title, based on the Warhammer property, will launch soon. And the one that people are dying for us to talk to them about in partnership with Lucas [Arts is] coming out of BioWare, which is, I think, quite possibly the most anticipated game, full stop, for the industry.”
BioWare is tightlipped about the KOTOR MMO. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Knights of the Old Republic is expected to be out sometime next year. The first KOTOR game was released earlier in the decade and had become quite popular.
