A few weeks ago, we had reported that Square Enix had said that Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS would be out sometime next year. The game is eagerly awaited by the fans of the Dragon Quest series. But now it has emerged that Dragon Quest IX apparently would hit the Nintendo Wii.
Video games news website 1UP is reporting that Square Enix will not only bring Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Starry Sky to the Nintendo Wii, but it will also exploit the connectivity between the Wii and Nintendo DS. There is no information if the Wii version of Dragon Quest IX would get a graphical makeover.
Speaking of the connectivity between the Nintendo DS and Wii, Square Enix will be using it for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. However, they are yet to officially confirm it for Dragon Quest IX. The role-playing game is expected to be released in March 2009.
