It seems that role-playing games are going from one platform to the other! Last year, Atari published a role-playing game called as The Witcher, based on the book of the same name, for the PC platform. It was well-received by the gamers. However, many wondered how come Atari didn’t release the game for the current generation consoles!
But now Atari has revealed that Witcher will be heading to the present generation consoles. Apparently titled The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf, the RPG is all set to hit the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The news leaked out via a video that was posted by a user on Gametrailers, which featured the game designer.
So what can gamers expect from The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf? Apparently the game will have improved gameplay, a new combat engine, enhanced backdrops, textures and animations. There is also dynamic lightning and yes, the PS3 owners get trophies as well as Sixaxis motion controls. They have also worked on the enemy AI.
The Witcher was developed by CD Projekt Red Studio and was released in October 2007. However, there is no information on the release dates of The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
