There have been many kinds of weird role playing games but none will be quirkier than this one! According to Hollywood Reporter, rapper Master P and actor Seth Green are collaborating on a new video game called Play the Industry.
Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s Stoopid Monkey Production and ShadowMachine Films will be partnering with Master P’s Miller Enterprises. Play the Industry will let gamers play either as an athlete, power broker, hip-hop artist or other character as they climb ladder in the world of bling-bling. Details of Play the Industry are still being worked out but the creators peg the game to be something similar to EA’s Sims.
Matthew Senreich told Hollywood Reporter, “You can play agent, you can play mogul, and you play all sorts of different characters. We really want to take the time and make sure we do this right. But the good thing we have going into this is we are developing the creative ahead of time, and we’re very close to having that up and running.”
As of now, Play the Industry is in the early stages of development and Stoopid Monkey and ShadowMachine are working on the script. The game, which will be multiplatform, is expected to release in late 2009. Besides the game, they are also trying to make Play the Industry into a movie, a reality television show and clothing line!
