Zoe Mode announces Rhythm-based Puzzle Game Chime Super Deluxe

The generic puzzle games that are crammed with mind-bending riddles and baffling gameplay mechanics can arguably never cease to intrigue modern-day gamers. Zoe Mode, a UK based development studio that brought the music-based puzzle video game Chime earlier in 2010, is now revealing one such title called Chime Super Deluxe. The developer has also announced that it will be releasing the game soon on PSN, according to the official PlayStation blog.

In what seems to be an augmented version of the developer’s previous offering, Chime Super Deluxe is reported to be an innovative and addictive block puzzle game involving a unique music creation element. It allows gamers to cover various grids with irregular shapes and form rectangular blocks called quads. Each quad and shape will generate musical notes and phrases that eventually build up in a song in the background as the grid is covered.

These include ‘Ooh Yeah’ by Moby, ‘Brazil’ by Philip Glass, ‘Disco Ghosts’ by Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly) as well as ‘Spilled Cranberries’ by Markus Schulz and ‘For Silence’ by Paul Hartnoll (Orbital). The game is also compatible with two multiplayer modes enabling gamers to ‘Chime’ together.

Details regarding Chime Super Deluxe’s pricing or exact release date have not been revealed yet.
