Stacking Available for Download on XBLA, PSN

THQ’s latest offering is touted to take forward the Costume Quest league with improved vigor. Extending an innovative experience to gamers, the company has released Stacking for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It bundles the ingenuity of Russia’s smallest stacking doll and pits it against the rush of the Industrial Revolution.

In this title, gamers can don the garb of Charlie Blackmore who is on a mission to save his family from a wicked baron. This stacking doll is said to have been enslaved by the industrialist in this third-person puzzle adventure. A classic tale narrating the silent era in its very own language of expressionist cinema, the game has been engulfed by Dickensian heroes and villains.

Double Fine Productions founder and CEO Tim Schafer remarked, “Lee and his team have created something really special with Stacking, and I’m really excited about people finally being able to play with these dolls.”

Also referred to as Matryoshka, these Russion dolls are presented with special abilities in the title. Charlie sports the capacity to solve a wide variety of problems with multiple and innovative solutions. As the game progresses, the character will have to tear apart the tycoon’s world with some aid from the in-game hint system.
