The game is a favourite of fans and critics, both alike and now it mixes its strategic gameplay with exquisitely animated characters to create a unique portable title.

The rules of the game are quite simple. Each player has to place his/her pieces on the board in turn, ensuring that pieces of the same colour touch at one or more corners, but not along the sides. The aim is to strategically place as many pieces as you can before the opponent beats you to it. The game allows up to 16 people to play in ad hoc wireless mode or it can also be played by 3 people simultaneously on one UMD. Players have the ability to customize their own character and they can also unlock 18 different characters from the Steambot Chronicles series.
