Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Revealed In 10-Minute Trailer

Spider-Man 2

The biggest highlight of Sony’s recent PlayStation showcase event was the gameplay reveal of the much-anticipated Spider-Man 2. This sequel to the 2018 hit, however, still remains devoid of an actual release date that fans can look forward to.

Two clips from the game have actually been released by its makers. The first one features a reveal of one of the game’s new villains, Kraven the Hunter. But the main footage of Spider-Man 2 lies in the 10-minute-long gameplay video showing an intense sequence from the game.

Insomniac Games has made it clear from the start that Spider-Man 2 will allow you to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. In the gameplay video, we get to see the former’s new Symbiote look that gives him completely new powers.

The Spider-Man 2 trailer suggests that various gameplay sequences will allow you to switch between the two Spider-Men to tackle different situations. Another prominent gameplay addition is the new Web Wings feature, which gives the characters even better ways to traverse the environment.

Spider-Man 2 builds on the success of 2018’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Both were immensely successful titles and can now be played on PC, apart from the PS4 and the PS5.

However, the sequel is all set to skip the PS4, with the PS5 being its only launch platform. Whether it will get a PC release in the future is still anybody’s guess.

The veterans at Insomniac Games are also currently working on a Marvel’s Wolverine video game, which was first announced in September 2021. What’s interesting is that its story is expected to be a continuation of the studio’s Spider-Man games.

Spider-Man 2 is set to release for the PS5 this fall but there’s still no concrete release date.
