Spider-Man: Miles Morales Has Gone Gold, Insomniac Reveals Some Spidey Suits

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

After news came earlier this week of Cyberpunk 2077 having gone gold, another big release of this fall, Spider-Man: Miles Morales has also reached the milestone. Insomniac Games has confirmed through their Twitter that their much-anticipated follow-up to the 2018 hit is ready to be transferred to discs and download channels. In the process, the company also revealed a few Spidey suits that we’ll get to see in the game.

The comical tweet by Insomniac features the announcement as well as a GIF that starts with a sneaky Spider-Man from the meme-filled 1967 version of the eponymous cartoon show sneaking around. As he moves forward, the scene changes to show environments of the new game with newer suits for Miles Morales, who has taken over the mantle of the friendly neighborhood superhero in this version of the game.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone game that follows up the 2018 PS4 version. It tells the story of a Miles Morales who has now gained powers similar to those of Peter Parker’s. It’s one of the launch games for the PS5, but will also be released for the PS4.

It has been confirmed though that the game will render much better on the new-gen console thanks to its increased processing power. Real-time ray tracing will definitely be present, while features like advanced haptic feedback, 3D spatial audio, and reduced loading times will also be taken advantage of by the game on the PS5.

Recently, a prequel novel to the game was also announced. Called Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales: Wings of Fury, it will be published on November 10. That’s two days prior to the date on which the game will be seen hitting the PS4 and the PS5. Some more leeway to complete the book would have helped, but it is what it is.
